Pack 49's Community Award was designed to give youth recognition for participating in Pack Community Service opportunities. Adults can also earn the award if they participate with their Cub Scouts.

Pack 49's Community Service opportunities include:

• Scouting for Food Chili Supper (January)

• Fall Highway Cleanup (October)

• Spring Highway Cleanup (May)

 A certificate can be awarded to Cub Scouts and parents who attend all of the Community Service opportunities throughout the Pack year (September through August). If a Cub Scout or parent is unable to attend one of the days, they may substitute and equal number of hours performing community service of their choice. A Cub Scout must attend at least two of these to qualify for the award.
