Cub Scout Core Value
Click
here for an explanation on Cub Scouting's 12 Core Values
from scouting.org.
Courage is the Core Value that can be
discussed this month. Cubs can learn how having perseverance can help them shine in their lives. Here are some questions you can
pose to your boy to help discuss perseverance.
-
What does it mean
to be have courage?
-
How can we
have courage each day?
-
Who are some
people who had courage?
-
Why is it
important to have courage?
-
How would you be
different if you had courage during a difficult
situation instead of making a wrong choice?
-
What will you do
in the future to have courage?
-
How can you be an
example to your friends by having courage?
From scouting.org:
Remember:
-
Core values are
the basis of good character development.
-
Character must be
broadly defined to include thinking, feeling and behavior.
-
Core values
should be promoted throughout all phases of life.
Electives and Badges
If your scout has not
finished his badge requirements, he should be doing so this
summer.
